Summit Information for GW/SW-004

There is a picnic area and a good size car park at the start point
SO 056 175 with room a dozen or more cars
The well established path rises steeply for the first kilometer or so then eases off to a much gentle climb
One of the three waterfalls visible from the path on the initial climb
As the path levels out and follows the ridge around towards Waun Fach there are some spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and valley below. After 1.9k the path split where I crossed the stream and headed off to the right.
The path becomes a little precarious from here as its very close to the edge. As you rise towards the summit I could see a snow covered Pen Y Fan to my left
The summit is quite flat with plenty of room for antennas but conditions were cold and very windy. I found myself a nice sheltered little spot to set up the equipment and got started.
